Sacrifices Now Or Sacrifices Later?
Almost every person will look at a successful entrepreneur and think ‘wow – what a lifestyle…I wish I had something like that?’ but only very few are willing to do what needs to be done to get it.
As an entrepreneur, you understand that you are not trading time for money. Unlike an employee situation; you will not be paid a dollar amount for each hour you spend on your business. Also unlike an employee situation, the harder you work and the more effort you put in – the bigger the reward later on.
While almost everyone who chases entrepreneurship does so to have a flexible lifestyle by design; not everyone is 100% across exactly what it means to be an entrepreneur, especially within network marketing. The reason many become disillusioned and quit is because many fail to understand that ironically, you will in fact have to give up some of the very things you are working for in the beginning, to have an abundance of them later on.
See the thing about network marketing – and even traditional business – is that growing a strong and successful business will come with sacrifice at some point. The difference is that in network marketing is that those sacrifices will pay you dividends you never imagined should you stick it out.
“You are free to choose but you are not free to alter the consequence of your decisions.” – Ezra Taft Benson
At some point, you reap the consequences of your life choices. Whether you sacrifice that time now, to reap the rewards later or take what you like now and sacrifice later; is entirely your decision.
Questions to ask yourself whether or not you’re doing the right thing:
- Am I passionate about what I’m doing?
- Why did I start this in the first place?
- Is what I’m doing in line with my personal values, morals and principles?
- Is what I’m doing currently, getting me closer to where I want to be?
If you answered YES to the above questions and your reason for taking on what you’re currently doing moves you – then know that you are on the right path! No matter what your physical results may be at this time as long as you are true to your values, morals and principles and stay consistent in your actions and remain coachable, you will end up where you aim to be.
So – now you know you’re on the right path; how do you know what to sacrifice and when? The question to that is easy. You need to be in the biggest, most momentum-creating, income-producing activity that’s possible. Whatever your business is find out what gets you results and do more of that. Keep your eyes on the end goal and remember that a lifestyle by design is awarded to those who have earned it. Dream big; work hard!
